Printing Guidelines Details and Information
> Applications and Uses: With a unique Velvet / Peach Skin feel, Curious Touch is unlike any other paper or card. It is ideal when distinction is required for Wedding Invitations, Party Invites, Report, Brochure and Book Covers and high end packaging.
> Printing Processes: More detailed information on each printing process is detailed below. Curious Touch is suitable for Offset Lithography, Screen Printing, Desktop Printers, Debossing, and Foilblocking. We recommend ordering samples before any printing takes place, thus ensuring you / your customer is happy.
> Offset Lithography: For best results, it is recommended to use UV inks.
> Screen Printing: Excellent results can be achieved with a screen ruling of 133 to 150 lpi. Finer rulings may be used with careful ink control. Stochastic screenings may also be used.
> Blind Embossing: Ideally suited to blind embossing, the corners of the die should be rounded off to avoid creases.
> Silk-Screening: Suitable for UV silk-screen printing and conventional silk-screen printing in conjunction with drying ovens.
> Desktop Laser: Curious Touch 300gsm is not for use in Desktop Lasers. We recommend ordering samples if you wish to try the 120gsm in a laser - but do not exceed the maximum paper thickness for your printer.
> Desktop Inkjet: Most desktop inkjets should be able to print on Curious Touch Paper and Card, but again, we recommend ordering samples first to test and not to exceed the printer's max paper thickness.
> Varnishing: Curious Touch can be varnished, Silkscreen UV varnishing is the only method which will achieve a good gloss finish. Ensure the sheet is sealed off with an acrylic or glycol sealer beforehand. Lay a Matt UV varnish first, just to seal the surface, then use a Gloss UV varnish to get the desired effect. Repeat varnishings may be required to achieve high gloss results. Of course, any varnishing will hide the feel of the paper/card.
> Laminating: You can laminate Curious Touch - but remember the feel of the paper / card will be lost.
> Folding and Creasing: Pre-creasing is recommended before folding Curious Touch.
